The device is made of hot-dip galvanized steel to avoid sparking. The 315-400 series fans were galvanized, the 450-560 series fans were made of aluminum. 
The flange on the suction side is made of copper or is supplied with a copper seal. 
The explosion-proof asynchronous motor is located outside the airflow. The hinged maintenance flap enables easy access to all important components.
